Add a Tag List to Blog Pages

Learn how to add a tag list to a blog page that lists blog posts.

When you add the RuffRuff Product & Blog Tags app block to a blog page, tags assigned to posts in that blog appear on the page. This article explains how to add the app block from the app home page and confirm the result in the online store.

Prerequisite: Use an Online Store 2.0 theme that lets you add an app block to a section on the target page.

Before configuring the tag list, confirm the following.

  • RuffRuff Product & Blog Tags is enabled

  • At least one blog exists

  • The blog contains at least one published post

  • At least one tag is assigned to a post in the blog

(1) Open RuffRuff Product & Blog Tags

From Shopify admin, go to Apps and open "RuffRuff Product & Blog Tags."

(2) Select the theme

On the app home page, use "Select a theme" to select the theme where you want to add the tag list.

(3) Open the app block setup page for blogs

Select "Add app block" next to "Blog." The applicable blog page opens in the theme editor.

(4) Add the "Tag List" app block

In the left menu of the theme editor, select "Add block" or "Add section," then add "Tag List."

(5) Adjust the position and save

Move "Tag List" to the desired position in the left menu, then select "Save" in the upper-right corner of the theme editor.

(6) Check the display in the online store

Open a blog page using the configured theme and confirm that the tag list appears.

Check: Tags assigned to posts in the blog appear on the blog page. Also confirm what happens when a tag is selected.
