FAQ

Frequently asked questions about RuffRuff Product & Blog Tags.

I want to hide the branding

The branding (RuffRuff Apps by Tsun) is automatically hidden when you are on the Light plan or higher.

I want to add a tag list to a non-supported theme (non-OS 2.0)

Adding a tag list to themes that are not OS 2.0-compatible is not supported. We also have no plans to support this in the future.

I have too many tags and want to limit how many are displayed

You can control this using the Initial Display Count setting, available on the Regular plan and above.

I want to use a different design for each template

A Regular plan subscription is required. By using the app block available exclusively on the Regular plan, you can apply a different design for each template.

Do you offer phone or online meeting support?

A Regular plan subscription is required. By using the app block available exclusively on the Regular plan, you can apply a different design for each template.

Which takes priority — the app block settings or the customization page settings?

The app block settings take priority. On pages where an app block is placed, the customization page settings are overridden.

Can I set the tag selection mode on product or blog post pages?

No. On product and blog post pages, clicking a tag navigates to a new page, so the tag selection mode does not apply. This setting is available on blogs and collection pages only.

Which mode should I choose — Multiple or Single?

Use "Multiple" if you want visitors to combine multiple conditions when filtering. Use "Single" for a simpler experience where one category is shown at a time.

I have set an initial number of tags displayed, but the Show all button is not appearing — why?

The Show all button only appears when the number of tags on the page exceeds the initial count. Please check that the actual number of tags on your products or articles is greater than the value you have set.

Can I set the same initial number of tags displayed across all templates?

The initial number of tags displayed is an app block setting and must be configured separately for each template. Please set it individually in each template (blogs, collections, products, and blog posts).

What if my settings are not reflected in the tag list?

After saving, your browser may be serving a cached version of the page. Try a hard reload (Cmd+Shift+R on Mac / Ctrl+Shift+R on Windows). For more details, see [Settings Changes Not Reflected in the Tag List].
